If you love sour pickles and want to taste the best - make them yourself. Just follow mama's simple recipe and enjoy.


Ingredients:

Small kirbys
Salt
Water
Pickling spices
Garlic, peeled and cut into smaler pices
Preparation:

Add 2 Tbsp of salt to 1 qrt of water, then boil it. Put kirbys into a jars, then put pickling spices, dry dill (if you have it), bay leaves and garlic. Poor hot water with salt into jars, cover loosely and let stand for 3 or 4 days at room temperature. When ready store in the fridge.
Serving suggestions:

A good complement to many meals, e.g. Zharkoe (Russian style Beef Stew)
